Dallas Daycare Academy Owners

Patricia (Patti) Gray is Co-Owner of Dallas Daycare Academy and the School Director with responsibility for care and teacher services at Dallas Daycare Academy. Patti hand-picks and trains caregivers dedicated to the difficult job of loving children as if their own. She also directs and oversees the use of a bilingual curriculum for all classes. Patti has worked in Daycare since 2007 and started her own Home Daycare in 2011. Her state licensed Daycare was the highest rated home daycare in North Dallas and stayed full with a waiting list. In late 2016, she and her husband David began working on opening a larger facility, and asked Linda Rogers, David's mother, to join them. Patti came to the U.S. about 18 years ago from Guatemala where she was a small business owner.

Linda Rogers is the President and Executive Director. She has been involved in the education area for about 15 years. She has worked with education leaders in the Dallas ISD for several years; she has taken child development and early education courses at Brookhaven (Dallas College) and other schools; and she and her husband had a scholarship foundation for several years. Previously, Linda had a 40-year career in the financial services and technology industries where she held executive management roles and started a couple of technology companies. She was raised in Nashville, Tennesse and received a B.A. degree in Math from Vanderbilt University. Following graduation from Vanderbilt, she moved to Dallas, where she received a M.A.S. degree in Computer Science from S.M.U. and then then went into the M.B.A program at S.M.U.

History
Patti and David started a home daycare in February 2011. Dallas Daycare and Development raised the bar for in-home daycare, with dedicated, spacious, clean and safe facilities, caring for up to 12 children. Children of all ages participated daily in learning activities including music, bi-lingual reading and writing, arts and crafts, puzzles and blocks, free play, and outdoor play in the large back yard when weather permits. Patti was the daycare director and primary caregiver for the children. This home daycare was closed in September of 2018 and the children in care there were moved to the new center Dallas Daycare Academy.
